Waitangi day prize winner!

Waitangi day has been and gone and this year to celebrate we decided to run a competition with a mystery prize up for grabs!

We asked you to send us photos of you and your whānau engaging in the wai over waitangi weekend - our own special kind of rangatiratanga.

We got lots of awesome entries from all throughout the motu, but at the end of the day there could only be one winner. The winner of our tangaroa ara rau prize pack was venise clark who is a kaihoe with tai tonga 41 waka ama club based in te akau tangi pōneke!

We wanted to make our first comp of the year an epic one, so our kaihautū rob hand delivered venise her $50 vaikobi gift card, along with some other goodies at a tai tonga 41 training so he could come and meet some of the crew!

Rob has also offered to come back next month to run an in water survival wānanga with the tai tonga 41 waka ama club as part of the prize. We can’t wait to keep growing our hononga.
